必修课程详情:

1、 全球转变The Global Shift,

该模块的目的是让学生从理论上理解国际商务中两个主要主题之间的关系:(1)各国商务体系存在差异;以及(2)经济及商业活动的国际化及全球化进程的现时特征。该模块的一个主要主题是企业了解国家业务系统和国际业务的发展和演变的知识的重要性。

The aim of the module is to provide students with the theoretical understanding of the relationship between two major themes in International Business: (i) the existence of differences in national business systems; and (ii) the present day character of processes of internationalisation and globalisation of economic and business activities. A major theme running through the module is the importance of knowledge for firms to understand the development and evolution of national business systems and international business.

 

2、 毕业论文:国际商务硕士Dissertation: MSc International Business,

本论文是对国际商务领域某一特定问题的深入的个人研究。它将概述对当前理论和文献的理解,详细描述数据收集的方法,概述收集的证据,分析和解释;最后探讨结论,并对相关研究提出建议。     

The dissertation is an in-depth individual research study of a particular issue within a field of international business.  It will outline understanding of current theory and literature, describe in detail methodology of data gathering, outline the evidence gathered, analysis and interpretation; and finally explore conclusions, and if relevant to the study, recommendations.

 

3、 国际商业策略International Business Strategy,

本模块旨在将国际管理、国际化和商业战略的相关理论应用到大型跨国公司的实际案例中进行整合。它还主要涉及管理决策的更高战略层次。国际商业战略需要对复杂的、不确定的和不完整的信息进行分析,并有能力限制这种不确定性,作出和实施坚定的广泛判断。该模块通过讲座、课堂讨论和案例研究展示,为学员提供了在国际和战略层面发展和实践分析、思考和判断能力的机会。

This module aims to consolidate the theories related to international management, internationalisation and business strategy by applying them to practical cases of major international companies. It is also concerned primarily with the higher, strategic level of management decision making. International Business Strategy requires the analysis of complex, uncertain and incomplete information and the ability to bound this ambiguity and make, and implement, firm wide judgement. This module, through a mix of lectures, class discussions and case study presentations provides the opportunity for the participant to develop and practice analysis, thinking and judgment competencies at an international and strategic level

 

4、 国际金融与会计International Finance and Accounting,

该模块将提供有关下列会计程序的会计理论和实际应用的理解:公司外部财务报表的解释(财务会计);为组织内的决策和控制而产生的内部会计资料(管理会计);金融市场和资金来源(公司融资)。该模块还将培养分析会计数据的技能,并提供对数字所依据的基本假设的良好理解。

The module will provide an understanding of the theory and practical application of accounting in relation to the following accounting procedures: the interpretation of external financial statements of incorporated companies (Financial Accounting); internally generated accounting information for decision making and control within organisations (Management Accounting); the financial markets and sources of funds (Corporate Finance). The module will also develop skills in the analysis of accounting data and provide a good understanding of the underlying assumptions on which the figures are based.

 

5、 国际人力资源管理International Human Resource Management,

该模块向学生介绍国际人力资源管理(IHRM)的理论和实践,重点介绍外部和内部环境因素如何影响跨国公司运营中的人力资源政策和战略。特别是,它提供了关于总部、附属公司和联营公司的人力资源管理方案在不同文化、体制和组织背景下的相对利益的最新资料。

he module introduces students to international human resource management (IHRM) theories and practice, with an emphasis on how external and internal environmental factors shape HR policies and strategies in cross-border company operations. In particular, it provides up-to-date information on the relative benefits of HRM programmes in headquarters, subsidiaries and associated companies in different cultural, institutional and organizational contexts.

 

6、 国际市场营销International Marketing,

该模块的目的是培养学生在国际环境下的市场营销知识。国际交换和交易的日益重要意味着许多企业,无论规模大小,都必须把注意力转向国际市场,但这需要不同于国内市场所需要的一套营销技巧。国际市场营销者面临着许多挑战,包括:文化多样性、复杂的营销环境、不断变化的市场需求、新兴市场和艰难的营销组合决策。本课程将探讨一系列的国际市场营销主题,使学生了解跨国市场营销决策的多面性,以及市场营销策略在国际商务中的重要作用。

The aim of the module is to develop students' knowledge of marketing within an international context. The increasing importance of international exchange and transactions means that many businesses, regardless of size, have to direct their attention to the international market place but this requires a different set of marketing skills than those required for domestic marketing. The international marketer faces numerous challenges including: cultural diversity, complex marketing environments, constant shifts in market requirements, newly emerging markets and difficult marketing mix decisions. The module will explore a range of international marketing topics that will enable students to appreciate the involved multifaceted nature of cross border marketing decisions and the important role of marketing strategies within international business.

 

7、问题管理Issues in Management, ,

本模块的目的是让学生从理论上了解管理的本质,并向他们介绍国际管理、组织管理和管理职能领域的具体内容。

本模块的前半部分将从管理经济学的角度讨论国际公司的职能运作。

下半部分将分析21世纪国际和跨国公司的经营和管理方式的变化。我们将从组织的设计和结构、新的财务控制工具的性质以及跨国组织中新的就业关系等方面分析这些变化。

The aim of this module is to provide students with the theoretical understanding of the nature of management and to introduce them to the specifics of international management, organisational and the functional areas of management.

The first half of the module will be concerned with the functional operations of international firms from the perspective of managerial economics.

The second half will be an analysis of the ways in which the operations and management of international and multinational firms have changed in the 21st century. These changes will be analysed in terms of the design and structure of organisations, the nature of new instruments of financial control and the new employment relations in multinational organisations.

 

8、国际商务研究方法Research Methods in International Business,,

This module is designed to introduce international business students to principal research methods applied to International Business (IB). It begins by discussing the evolution of IB as a field and, the emerging questions for research. This discussion provides a basis for the choice of the dissertation topic and also leads to a better understanding of IB foundations as a field of research. The module aims to develop students’ research skills to facilitate the design of a feasible and consistent research proposal. This will be achieved by developing students’ skills to choose a compatible and feasible research methodology. In addition, this module introduces the fundamentals of quantitative and qualitative researches. The emphasis will be on encouraging and enabling students to develop their analytical and technical research skills, so that they are better able to undertake dissertation projects.
